On his first day on the job, Martin wanted to flex his muscle as the newly promoted assistant manager. He was at his new desk admiring the desktop, when there was a knock on the door. He quickly grabbed the telephone receiver, and called for the person on the other side of the door to enter. Then he proceeded to talk animatedly into the telephone receiver, in which the contents of such conversation detailed important contracts which needed to be signed urgently, post his review of such.
After ending his critically important conversation, he looked up to the man standing before his desk, and assertively inquired as to what he could do for him. The man replied, he did not need anything done for him, in fact he was there to install the telephone line.
