The Price

The song I heard today was fitting of my day. It said something like "The cost of living, is taking the chance once more."

This evening I saw a newly married couple. The bride must be in her mid sixties, and the groom about same age range. It was sweet how she had adorned her hair in ringlets, and he had a white rose on his lapel. A white rose, which signifies purity of love.

I suppose it shows it's never too late to take a chance again. While I noted this couple, I shared the thought that getting hitched in Vegas with someone special would really be cool. Like Christmas, were the essence of the festivity is underscored by the hype on consumerism, so does the extravagance of most weddings underscore the meaning of simply committing to someone for the long haul. Simply that, no hype to it, purely simple and yet, so significant.

Now, while for this type of event there must be mutual consent, I don't think I need to rush, as I can still look forward to my late sixties, if God willing, I live to see that date.
.
On another note, I noticed I am slowly but surely am changing. I noticed it since the beginning of this year. I am noting a new emboldening about me. Today this change reiterated itself by braking some rules, and feeling good for it.
